Sexy Pirate Costumes. The popularity of pirate style costumes has grown more than any other costume theme in recent years. I would suggest that that is largely due to the successful movies “Pirates of the Caribbean” staring Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow. Quite interestingly, he claimed to have based his depiction of a pirate on Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards and even managed to persuade the multi millionaire guitarist rock star to take a small role in one of the later films as his father. It has been suggested that Mr Richards didn’t need much help with his pirate outfit or his make up as he has always dressed and looked and in some ways behaved like a pirate! Pirates were usually men in history, but that’s not important when it comes to dressing up. That are plenty of suitable costumes for want to be sexy lady pirates and what a good costume theme it is for the lady to express herself within. Ladies can add allsorts of accessories here and turn a basic pirate costume idea into something completely original. It may even be possible to create a pirate costume design without buying anything but by piecing together items from the lady's own wardrobe. A bandana from a sache or scarf, a skirt, cut the bottoms of the legs off a never to be worn pair of trousers, an old-used to be in fashion sweater etc., thereby saving money, being imaginative, and creating a sexy pirate costume at the same time.
