If you have given thought to the erotic lingerie colours as related to your own bodily features of hair colour, eye colour and skin tone, you next may want to consider the mood that particular colours of lingerie evoke. (It’s not just the colour in itself as obviously style has a big part to play in this as well). Colours talk, they talk about the lady, they talk about the lingerie, the situation, and go some considerable way to envoking the mood. The staple colours and favourites for erotic lingerie are Black, White and Red. White represents purity and innocence and that may give some balance to the perhaps provocative act of wearing the lingerie. It could be the best choice of a less confident lady, not shy or timid exactly, but not quite as bold, wild or adventurous as some others. She still knows how to have a good time and intends to have one. It is often a favourite of men to see their partner in sexy white lingerie. Black is actually an absence of colour, if we want to get scientific. As far as erotic lingerie is concerned though it is a “slimming colour” and a good choice for slightly larger ladies providing it doesn’t clash in respect of any of the other factors. It is powerful but also brings sophistication. Red is a very passionate colour in itself and when red becomes “hot lingerie red” that is a very intense combination which could well boil over. It expresses heat, love, sexual desire and anticipation and “life on the wild side”. The colour of blood is red after all. A sexy choice for the more wild hearted and passionate ladies. After the staple lingerie colours a few more are worthy of mention. Purple. The dye was originally expensive and only purple clothing could be afforded by the very well off nobility. Today, purple lingerie still suggests extravagance, luxury, comfort and sophistication. Pink is a very popular choice for lingerie. For pink you should think a calmer version or red with added romance and tenderness. It's more fluffy bunny than rampant rabbit in effect. It is a feminine colour bringing to the lingerie elements of red but a rather watered down. Green represents nature and that which is natural. Not everyone’s favourite when it comes to lingerie but can suit the feminine lady as it is the colour of fertility in nature. Blue lingerie suggests loyalty, trust and is the choice of a lady with a slightly less adventurous husband who perhaps needs a little reassurance now and again. The darker blues begin to encroach on the territory of black lingerie. Some of the other jollier colours such as yellow and orange should be left to accessories, lace and trim. There are always exceptions, and how the it all comes together for that particular lady, her partner, and the final result is what matters.
